Se puede hay bastantes ejemplos de ello, Jorge D'Alessandro, portero argentino de los años setenta, luego entrenador y ahora tertuliano del chiringuito perdió un riñon por un golpe en un partido y siguió jugando y tuvo una muy buena carrera!
Carlos Santillana y Juan Antonio Pizzi llegaron a ser Pichichi de la Liga y a jugar en la selección con un solo riñon útil.
Buceando por Google he descubierto, entre otros muchos que a Pele le extirparon un riñon cuando era jugador.

Pues sí, una pena por el chaval... Si ya iba justo de confianza, esto no sé como le va a afectar.
Y está claro q con una operación así, llevará un tiempo que pueda volver a jugar en elite (no sé si 2 meses o 5), pero vamos a tener q salir a buscar lubinas.
Uno q me está gustando mucho, que no sé si tiene equipo para el año q viene, es Lucas Dias, de Brasil. Un A-P abierto de 2.07 q tira de fuera q da gusto verlo y q lleva unas cuantas temporadas en su pais a un gran nivel.

Como uno ya es mayor, me acuerdo de Jorge D'Alessandro, portero de la UD Salamanca allá por los 70... Perdió un riñón por un golpe en el terreno de juego. Pudo volver a jugar. Aunque en contra de la opinión de los médicos.

En cualquier caso, la recuperación de una nefrectomía no es algo de semanas sino de varios meses. Habrá que salir al mercado...

Todos los casos que habéis comentado de deportistas que volvieron a élite con un riñón son de furboh. Nada que ver los contactos en el tren superior en uno y otro deporte.
